We can supply various waxes from Baker
Petrolite as follows :
Fischer Tropsch Wax
We represent BARECO PX-100, PX-105 Polymer, Fischer
Tropsch wax produced by Shell MDS. This advanced generation
polymer has a combination of a high melting point, low
viscosity and excellent hardness, providing superior
performance in a variety of applications.
Key Application Benefits
Adhesives
BARECO PX-105 Polymer is an ideal synthetic wax to
use in hot melt adhesives with up to 28% vinyl acetate
content EVA. The high melting temperature of the wax
imparts heat resistance and quick set time to the
adhesive.
Printing Inks and Coatings
When used in a micronized form, BARECO PX-105 Polymer
promotes cost effective block, rub and scuff resistance
in a variety of printing inks. For coatings, BARECO
PX-105 Polymer is a productive matting agent, providing
texture and water-beading effect when used in powdered
form.
Plastics
FT wax is used by polymer producers and converters
in the molding, extrusion and compounding industries.
BARECO PX-105 Polymer is used as a lubricant in
PVC. The low melt viscosity improves
processing throughput as well as assists dispersion
of filler during compounding.
In color concentrates, the unique melt of BARECO
PX-105 Polymer effectively wets
pigments and reduces extrusion viscosity.

FDA Status
Petroleum waxes may be refined to meet the purity requirements
of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as specified
in the basic regulations governing their use. These
basic regulations are found in 21 CFR 175.250 and 21
CFR 178.3710.
Microcrystalline Waxes
All petroleum waxes consist of complex mixtures
of normal paraffinic, isoparaffinic, and naphthenic
hydrocarbons. The physical differences between various
types of petroleum wax are due to the relative extent
of the three types of hydrocarbons present and the
molecular weight of these hydrocarbons.
High Melt Microcrystalline Waxes
Hardness and high melting point are outstanding features
of this class of chemically inert and uniform waxes.
Baker Petrolite Polymers offers a variety of unique
products with characteristics to fit many use needs.
Many meet the quality requirements established by
the FDA for food grade waxes.

Flexible Microcrystalline Waxes
Adhesiveness and lower melting points characterize this
group of waxes. Excellent sealing strength, low temperature
performance, and excellent moisture barrier properties
result in the use of Flexible Microcrystalline Waxes
in laminations and coatings on paper, film and foil.
Many meet the quality requirements established by the
FDA for food grade waxes.
