Fluorescent Whitening Agent is an optical brightener
(fluorescent whitening agent) of the biphenyl class,
suitable for the optical brightening of polymers at
all stages of processing.

Applications : Fluorescent Whitening
Agent is highly effective in polymer substrates such
as acrylics, thermoplastic polyurethane, polyvinylchloride,
styrene homo- and copolymers, polyolefins, adhesives,
and other organic substrates.
Main applications include fibers, molded articles, films
and sheets. Additional applications include clear lacquers,
pigmented lacquers, paints, printing inks and synthetic
leather.
Fluorescent Whitening Agent can be used as a tracer
in a variety of applications.
Features/Benefits
Fluorescent Whitening Agent features excellent resistance
to heat, exceptional whitening properties, good light
fastness and low volatility. It has a brilliant bluish-greenish
cast, is readily soluble in organic solvents and features
good compatibility in various substrates. The product
is especially suitable for applications such as films
and fiber.
Fluorescent Whitening Agent enhances the whiteness of
the substrate. In combination with dyes, the product
produces particularly bright shades. It is suitable
for packaging applications but local regulations must
be observed.
Guidelines for use and dosage
The dosage should be 0.01-0.05% on weight of plastic.
Put Fluorescent Whitening Agent Fluorescent Whitening
Agent into plastic pellets and mix the mixture thoroughly
before shaping the plastic products.

provided the usual precautions for handling chemical
